Years ago, when I was just a young guy tending bar in New York City, I befriended the author Kurt Vonnegut. During a night of riotous drinking, he introduced me to the artist Nicademis Hufford. They became like older brothers to me. Later on Nick, in his attempt to prod me, jokingly said "Bill, if you want to hang with us, you should either learn how to write or paint." Thank you Nick. hi Nancy -- thanks. Paris is changing; still worth a visit -- Montmatre, the Opera - 8th Arr (Chagal; ceiling), Galeries Lafayette, The usual museums, the 6th Arr, Lux Gardens and best discount dining at Flunch (outside of the Pompidou (top floor of which has nice Paris view).
