About Bill OConnor
Years ago, when I was just a young guy tending bar in New York City, I befriended the author Kurt Vonnegut. During a night of riotous drinking, he introduced me to the artist Nicademis Hufford. They became like older brothers to me. Later on Nick, in his attempt to prod me, jokingly said "Bill, if you want to hang with us, you should either learn how to write or paint." Thank you Nick. ' After many years of owning restaurants in New York, and my subsequent career in the legal profession, I realized that I enjoyed painting above all else -- I hope you enjoy my work. P.S. -- Any of my art that you purchase will not have the Fine Art America Stamp on it. Bill All images are copyright © Bill O'Connor. All materials contained may...

Love the density of everything. I can "feel" that sky. And the reds....oh! v/f
Bill OConnor replied:
Nancy --thank you. I got the idea from a Sisley -- and wondered what it would be like if I made a similar one, but making it so much denser (Sisley had a very light pallet).
