Years ago, when I was just a young guy tending bar in New York City, I befriended the author Kurt Vonnegut. During a night of riotous drinking, he introduced me to the artist Nicademis Hufford. They became like older brothers to me. Later on Nick, in his attempt to prod me, jokingly said "Bill, if you want to hang with us, you should either learn how to write or paint." Thank you Nick. One of my favorite places on earth is a bench that sits high on the side of the mountain above Gimmelwald.....on the Mürren side of the Lauterbrünnen Valley. This reminds me of the snug houses on the mountain. Just beautiful!!!! F/L
