Beautiful Bil!l, a great sense of mystery in this work and wonderful expressive contemplation! Love it! FL

Interesting smooth and rough textures. She looks as if she is waiting to be picked up for a date :) f/l
Bill OConnor replied:
Donna -- "picked up for a date," interesting comment as I was initially going to place a "suitor" in the window. I never quite finished the painting (in my eye -- left side) -- but Gabrielle and I just agreed "that's it"!

Such fun this is! It reminds me of Whistler's mother except much happier! Love the details and the composition. LF

Colleen -- what a great review! thanks. I usually have 3 or 4 paintings in progress, but after I started this one (the flowers) and then creating Gabrielle I noticed how "comfortable" the painting was becoming -- Gabrielle was my star and I wanted her to be pleased with the outcome. After a month of changing colors and rearranging furniture, Gabrielle was pleased, so I left.
