Please tell me more about this mysterious "her". This painting so beautifully creates the desire to go sit . . . . . quietly . . . . . beneath the great clock window . . . . . and wait for her to appear. l/f

Bill OConnor replied:

Barbara -- once, when I was in the d'Orsay, I was having a conversation with a staff member. She mentioned a female apparation that some of the security/cleaning crew would see late at night. A woman with a cloak and hat -- got me thinking...

About Bill OConnor

Bill OConnor

Years ago, when I was just a young guy tending bar in New York City, I befriended the author Kurt Vonnegut. During a night of riotous drinking, he introduced me to the artist Nicademis Hufford. They became like older brothers to me. Later on Nick, in his attempt to prod me, jokingly said "Bill, if you want to hang with us, you should either learn how to write or paint." Thank you Nick. ' After many years of owning restaurants in New York, and my subsequent career in the legal profession, I realized that I enjoyed painting above all else -- I hope you enjoy my work. P.S. -- Any of my art that you purchase will not have the Fine Art America Stamp on it. Bill All images are copyright © Bill O'Connor. All materials contained may...
