Years ago, when I was just a young guy tending bar in New York City, I befriended the author Kurt Vonnegut. During a night of riotous drinking, he introduced me to the artist Nicademis Hufford. They became like older brothers to me. Later on Nick, in his attempt to prod me, jokingly said "Bill, if you want to hang with us, you should either learn how to write or paint." Thank you Nick. I'm LOVING this new direction, Bill, and the pastel is a gorgeous medium, very luscious in response, much like my fav charcoal.....and what's also interesting is these two/three latest, the figurative very 'new' in organic approach, and the minimals, so 'more' ! Compliments, fv..........VIVA..............(my traubador has stopped serenading, sigh....................)
Bill OConnor replied:
thanks Viva -- just going with the flow, enjoying it. Re the traubador, desole: just pop in some good cds and dance.
