Wonderful painting, dear Bill! The light is fantastic hitting the base and the star of the painting - the old grey pot - and diffusing mysteriously around the less adored (this time) flowers... I'm happy you started painting again, your talent is absolutely remarkable! :))) L/F Tw G+

My mind totally flies crazy about this, back again....the light is the thing, It illuminates like a backlit stage, the beautiful subject spotlighted because of its importance front and center, all just me intellectualizing this so painterly image......applause..again. thanks Viva -- the old pot and the flowers; the beauty and the beast -- when together, they bring an extra bit beauty into their lives.

About Bill OConnor

Bill OConnor

Years ago, when I was just a young guy tending bar in New York City, I befriended the author Kurt Vonnegut. During a night of riotous drinking, he introduced me to the artist Nicademis Hufford. They became like older brothers to me. Later on Nick, in his attempt to prod me, jokingly said "Bill, if you want to hang with us, you should either learn how to write or paint." Thank you Nick. ' After many years of owning restaurants in New York, and my subsequent career in the legal profession, I realized that I enjoyed painting above all else -- I hope you enjoy my work. P.S. -- Any of my art that you purchase will not have the Fine Art America Stamp on it. Bill All images are copyright © Bill O'Connor. All materials contained may...
