About Bill OConnor
Years ago, when I was just a young guy tending bar in New York City, I befriended the author Kurt Vonnegut. During a night of riotous drinking, he introduced me to the artist Nicademis Hufford. They became like older brothers to me. Later on Nick, in his attempt to prod me, jokingly said "Bill, if you want to hang with us, you should either learn how to write or paint." Thank you Nick. ' After many years of owning restaurants in New York, and my subsequent career in the legal profession, I realized that I enjoyed painting above all else -- I hope you enjoy my work. P.S. -- Any of my art that you purchase will not have the Fine Art America Stamp on it. Bill All images are copyright © Bill O'Connor. All materials contained may...

Be still sad heart, and cease repining,............ Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;............ Thy fate is the common fate of all;.................. Into each life some rain must fall,....................... Some days must be dark and dreary........... Longfellow................................. . The metaphor here is wonderfully painted, my friend....I love the soft light, the myriad greens, the mood......kudos, fv....VIVA
Bill OConnor replied:
thanks Viva; so beautiful. All the world's a stage; all the people merely players; we each have our entrances and exits.
