Parisienne Colors revisited -- Michele decorates her new Paris apartment.
Years ago, when I was just a young guy tending bar in New York City, I befriended the author Kurt Vonnegut. During a night of riotous drinking, he introduced me to the artist Nicademis Hufford. They became like older brothers to me. Later on Nick, in his attempt to prod me, jokingly said "Bill, if you want to hang with us, you should either learn how to write or paint." Thank you Nick. ' After many years of owning restaurants in New York, and my subsequent career in the legal profession, I realized that I enjoyed painting above all else -- I hope you enjoy my work. Christine Dekkers
I love how you portrayed the women, the simplistic outline shows her moving about but not really being seen in her surroundings. Love the angles, they bring you all over the painting. Well done Bill! :)C

Thomas Carroll
Fantastic in so many ways...so clean and uncluttered...yet drawing the eye to the depth and variations of shapes and colors in space and time...ok, I'm thinking cinematic. If I have seen this painting before I am seeing again for the first time! In my opinion, a masterpiece! Hope you spend more time in Paris....Thomas
Bill OConnor replied:
thanks Thomas -- good observations -- Michele "on stage" a bit. Paris is now offically a "very tricky city" -- desole.
