...hello to a truly special person in my life! WHEN i STARTED PAINTING, YOUR ENCOURAGEMENTS at times kept me going -- thanks Vivian for al that. Pray God you and yours are getting on during the world curse (the China scum). We are isolating . Our home is outside Morganton, North Carolina - weather mild year round, foothills east of the Blue Ridge Mountains (blocks all the nasty weather). Morganton is an artsy beautiful town - quite happy here -- no travel -- all food, etc delivered -- big home, lots of land in private community ( thank God owning NYC restaurants paid off -- I escaped with not too many habits! Anyhoo, still painting -- I hope you are also. I always enjoyed your "take on the world." Prayers for all of us -- maybe Paris someday! YOUR COMPADRE BILL

Bill ... what a glorious work of art!!! I need to get a fresh cup of tea and sit down with your images one day soon ... they always "speak" to me ... we have fascinating conversations, lol!!!! This one is no exception ... it's telling me to wake up earlier and see the beauty of the dawns!!!! This is a glorious vision ... I'm in awe of the colors and the way you pull our eye right into the scene!!!! I can certainly believe Monet enjoyed this spot!!!!!! Magic, as always!!!!! l/f t p and fb

Wonderful piece. The movement of the water with all the reflections really caught my eye and of course the light on the hill...very promising.

Bill OConnor replied:
thanks Vivian -- what a terrible time it is. We stocked up on 3 months food, etc ( delivered to our door) -- fortunately, our home is on a few acres, private road -- family is staying put ( California and Pennsylvania). A big prayer for you and family -- we'll get through this; you and I are made of tough stuff, n'est pas?

Absolutely glorious work Bill. Anything that resembles or has anything to do with Monet, is breathtaking to me!

Fascinating,Bill....especially admire your textures so detailed, and, the beautiful, lyrical landscape, rolling hills, and the light,of dawn, is so glowing, beautiful. Adore the bright patch of red warmth vs the reflected cool of sky and the river...a story in itself. I really love this 'place',the hills, valleys, all so painterly....BRAVO , my most fav... F,v....VIVA
